Psychedelic Album Covers
Mavi is a denim brand founded in 1991, based in Istanbul, Turkey. Mavi approached me to do a few collections of graphics inspired by the overlap of Turkish and American psychedelic music and culture during the mid-1960s, swayed by the major rock groups around the world such as The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Yes, Status Quo, and Omega. In the spirit of the Turkey’s artists that were experimenting with the fusion of Turkish folk and rock music, I wanted to create the same feelings and spirit within each graphic.
