DeviantArt x NYCC

Created an invitation for an employee and executive dinner at New York Comic Con, allowing visitors to take a breather from the convention and head to the DeviantArt Lounge for appetizers and drinks, get a sketch from local artists, view original art from our hilarious new fan art mashup challenge, and shoot some hoops.

DeviantArt x NYCC

DeviantArt’s New York Comic Con event, role was to create an immersive and visually impactful experience that resonated with both executives and the broader creative community. Leveraging DeviantArt’s 61M+ global user base and the high visibility of NYCC, which attracts 200K attendees annually, designed a comprehensive engagement strategy that positioned DeviantArt as a leading platform for creativity.

Every event experience starts with an invite, email, or phone call. It's essential to get the expected attendees excited for the event. Let their imaginations run wild, and it's important not to disclose too much just enough to get them wanting more.

I wanted to create a design that was about Discovering the new DeviantArt that would last beyond the event at hand as well as positioning the brand as a creative solution. Most importantly, a platform to allow artists to express themselves, community, and become discovered.

Fold Out Invite

UV Spot Varnish, white logo, and neon green wordmark.

Rather than writing all the content out on the inside, I wanted to use visuals to do the talking. Additional to RSVP to a microsite. First touch point in the experience of C- level executive attendees from Cartoon Network, Google, ComicCon, and Comixology and reflect DeviantArts personality and community. The invite and concept designed scale to the microsite for the event.

RFID Wristbands

RFID tracking will allow employees and clients journey from hoop scores to metrics on most visited attractions, post-event booth shares to drink popularity — besides, its ultra cool factor. Wristbands provide an unobtrusive way to collect onsite data without additional hassle to attendees.

Cross Branding

Mashup artist cans To promote Artists and Venue, Deviantart Lounge teams up with Babe Rosé to offer one night only Exclusive Artist cans for the event at Comic-Con International. By putting one can at random in each VIP bag, to excite invitee to collect all 5.
